It's getting light after a night of messing with Visual Studio :-/ Permanent link to this post with (0 comments )
One note I learned today (tonight); don't even think that you can tweek the way Visual Studio has decided to keep your projects/solution. Note two; Don't even tend to think that you can do it while running source safe (the vault) in that peticular solution. Note three; When you provoke Visual Studio, try to cut corners in organising your project - Visual Studio gets reeeealy mad and you loose a day worth of work. Maybe I should have read some documentation first - or even better, maybe I should just have kept the messy umbraco.sln file, messy ;-)

Sweet dreams - back later... Update: All above combined with a custom http handler module that handles directories, a global.asax-codebehind that gets copied into a wrong folder so the module fucks up so visual studio gets server 500 errors when creating new web projects is a really, really, really hard thing to debug... Anyway, I think my ass is saved - and now I'm only 7 hours more behind in the 2.0 beta release. What a bummer :o)
